We started our journey to fully automate creating a volume mesh for fluid dynamic simulations; hence the name meshnomo. The mesher will eliminate manual mesh generation. In comparison to other such solutions our method will be able to create high quality boundary layer mesh.
To find a new approach to mesh generation we asked the question, „would it not be possible to 3D print a mesh?“ Of course, we don’t need the mesh in physical space, but the question allowed us to develop a new algorithm (patent pending). This is how we got into 3D printing.
It was quickly obvious that current slicing algorithms weren’t fast enough. So we starting thinking about how we could speed things up and came up with the slicing algorithm (patent pending) we introduce here on this website.
